Hastings House in Alipore , Kolkata ,was the former residence of Governor-General warren hastings .Local have reported sightings of warrens’s ghosts who arrives in a horse carriage seeking a lost black box and a ghosts of a boy who died while playing football and a shadowy figure possibly of warren’s wife, lady Marian is seen walking with a lamp between tombstones. Today this site houses the state Government institute of education for women.
