Akashvani Bhawan in Kolkata, located near Eden Gardens, has been the hub of All India Radio since 1961, replacing the old 1 Garstin Place facility, a site notorious for paranormal occurences due to the history as an old British-Era hospital where hundreds of European soldiers died out of Malaria around 1705. Local reports include sightings of a “Gora Saheb” in the studio, a Phantom piano playing and a terrifying Apparition of a headless figure. The original building was demolished in January 1997.
The covers are made from aged leather (Buffalo Leather) that feels soft and develops character, along with thick, unlined, cream or off-white vintage handmade paper with deckle edges. These have metal locks, making them unique keepsakes for personal reflection, art, or as decorative collectibles, blending nostalgic aesthetics with functional writing.
