Hirak Raja Bhogoban Sipper-Bottle

Hirak Rajar Deshe (1980) is a renowned Bengali dystopian fantasy musical directed by Satyajit Ray. It is a sequel to Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne, featuring the magical duo (Tapan Chatterjee and Robi Ghosh) visiting a tyrannical Diamond King (Utpal Dutt) who brainwashes citizens using a “Magaj Dholai” machine to stop rebellion. The film serves as a hard-hitting satire against oppression and dictatorship. The film was released after the Indian Emergency and draws parallels to dictatorship and repression.  The film won several awards, including National Film Awards for Best Male Playback Singer (Anup Ghoshal) and Best Music Direction (Satyajit Ray).
